Beachwood City Park

Open to all is Beachwood City Park, a passive recreation area located on the east and west ends of the Shaker Boulevard median.

Beachwood City Park West includes 1.6 miles of trails, consisting of 8-foot wide hard surface multi-purpose trails allowing for bicycling, walking, running and skating; 6-foot wide gravel trails for hiking; a sledding hill; two parking areas with 18 parking spaces each and an open-air shelter with room for 40 to 50 people, including a unisex bathroom and a drinking fountain.

A wood staircase provides access from the upper level near the 70-foot slope sledding hill to the lower central area of the park, adjacent to the gravel trails.  Wood boardwalks cross wet areas along the trail, and pedestrian entry points into the park are located at Richmond Road with new minor entry points across from Sulgrave Road on both East and West Shaker Boulevard.

Crosswalks are located at the minor entry points. The landscaping focuses on screening new parking areas from surrounding neighborhoods and beautifying the park entry areas at Richmond Road.

Beachwood Community Center

Beachwood residents and community groups are able to rent Beachwood Community Center rooms for meetings and functions.  Each of the center's six rooms may be rented individually or combined to form a larger room. Rooms may be combined to comfortably seat 150 for dinner and up to 250 chairs-only for a lecture.

Beachwood Recreation

Beachwood Recreation strives to improve the quality of life of all residents of Beachwood by providing a wide variety of cultural and leisure activities, special events, facilities and services encouraging health, fitness, relaxation, enjoyment, cultural enrichment and learning as well as providing opportunities for Community involvement.

Tennis Courts

Eight tournament size courts are located adjacent to the Beachwood Family Aquatic Center on Fairmount Boulevard.  Proof of residency will be required to use the courts.  All Residents are entitled to a FREE tennis Pass.

Tennis passes may be obtained at the Beachwood Family Aquatic Center.   Non-Residents are entitled to use the courts when accompanied by a Resident.  All Non-Residents must pay a $4 per use fee.  Non-Resident day passes are to be purchased at the Aquatic Center.
